  • YNY MIXTAPE IS GO

The vinyl is up, the computer is in place, all that is left is for you to TURN YOUR BLUETOOTH ON.

Kill Your Timid Notion starts today with two very special performances by Jarrad Fowler and Chistof Migone at four.  Plus a fantastic film by seminal video artist John Smith at seven.

We thought we would kick off our mixtape with a pop drenched glitch concoction from Edward Shallow.

Edward is a good friend of Yuck ‘n Yum, and a fellow Dundee resident.  You can often see him wandering the perth road in his orange hoody playing his Game Boy, trouble is, he thinks he lives in a computer game and we don’t have the heart to tell him otherwise.

Track one : Cranes not Skyhooks

    Artist : Edward Shallow

Shallow, influenced by video-games of yesteryear and the sceptical of the views of zealots, has crafted a world in which to reside. Red Plastic Park is this world. He finds the psychology of the game more interesting than the game itself and has created this staggered piece with a Nintendo Game Boy.

Other artists involved are Stuart McAdam, Ultra- Red, Ben Robinson, I Like Yellow Things, Dawn Campbell and The Box

Remember you will be able to download the whole album for free on our website the weekend of the festival.
