  • Interregnum Exhibition Launch @ SOIL Gallery Seattle 03.05.18

When we officially launched the Yuck ’n Yum compendium last month, realising the book was just too big for one continent, we linked up two of our favourite artist-run spaces for the launch. In Scotland, Generator Projects hosted an evening event, but thanks to the magic of time zones, the day was just beginning in SOIL Gallery, Seattle, USA.

YnY’s Alex Tobin flew out to Seattle to meet the entire YnY America team (Morgan Cahn), and together they installed the Interregnum exhibition at SOIL. Featuring new works from Darren Banks, Lizz Brady, O.B. De Alessi, Kirsty McKeown, Holger Mohaupt, Thomas Moore, Janie Nicoll, Val Norris, Greer Pester, and Lada Wilson, Interregnum is Yuck ‘n Yum’s first project in America, and a really exciting exhibition. You can download the press release here.

With the first print run of the Yuck ‘n Yum Compendium launching at both SOIL and Generator Projects, a video link connected the two venues, allowing early-bird Seattlites to stop by and see live performances happening half a world a way in Scotland.

Then, it was Seattle’s turn for an evening event, with Interregnum opening to a full crowd.
